Welcome Carol Ann, our new Patchwork & Quilting Tutor

We’re delighted that Carol Ann Allan will be joining us in January 2026 as our new Patchwork and Quilting Tutor as Denise retires after seven fabulous years of tutoring with The Sewing Shed.

Carol Ann is an artist and educator specialising in Quilting and Hand embroidery based in Yorkshire.  She also teaches Eco Printing, Slow Stitching and visible mending and has a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Surface Pattern and Textiles. Carol Ann’s own practice explores the importance of slow textiles and traditional quilting and embroidery skills, naturally dying her own fabrics and threads from her garden.  She is very excited to be joining The Sewing Shed family and we’re thrilled she’s joining us.
